INTERIOR DESIGN

Is a room in your home looking tired and in need of a complete refresh? Are you feeling overwhelmed by the variety of interior design styles and choice out there? Completely stuck on how to layout the room? Struggling to work out how to create a harmonious design across multiple rooms or the whole house? Have you just moved in to a new home and it needs a complete re-design? Then Helo would love to help!

FIRST THINGS FIRST

First up we'll arrange a free 1 hour initial consultation at your home, where we can discuss your requirements for the project, any ideas you may have, what styles you do and don't like, timescales, budget and everything in-between. This free consultation is a great way for us to get to know each other and for you to decide whether Helo are the right designers to create your perfect family home. After this initial consultation I will produce a design brief reflecting everything we've discussed and a quotation for the project. If you're happy with the design brief and the quotation and you'd like Helo to get to work then we'll get the formalities and sign offs out of the way ready for the fun stuff to begin!

HOW IT WORKS

STEP ONE

Helo will return to your home to do a full room survey and document the existing room through photographs. I'll measure the room itself, locate windows, radiators, power socket locations, as well as any existing features that are to be retained. Together we'll also identify if there are any personal items you'd like to keep, to include in the final design.

STEP TWO

I will then start work on your design by firstly putting together a Mood board. This will reflect the overall look and feel of the design that we are trying to achieve for the room. Using an Architectural software, I will create a scaled floor plan of the existing room. I will use this information to create a couple of proposed layout options for the room, reflecting the brief and your project requirements.

STEP THREE

With proposed layout options and a Mood board put together we will then arrange an interim meeting at your home, to discuss the ideas I have come up with. I'll also bring along any first thoughts for paint colours, fabrics, flooring materials.

This meeting gives us a chance to discuss the layout options in detail and together we can make any changes you feel are necessary. We can also make sure the designs are answering the brief and the overall look and feel for the room is what you had envisaged.

STEP FOUR

After the interim meeting any feedback and changes will be accommodated and reflected in a final Mood board and proposed floor layout plan. This will be emailed over to you to make any final tweaks and approve the room layout.

STEP FIVE

Once approved I will then move on to creating a 3D concept visual and 2D Elevations for the room. This is where the design will really come to life, and you’ll be able to see what the finished room could look like. Alongside visualising your final room design I will also be collecting and finalising the furniture, soft furnishings, lighting, and accessory selections for the room design. These will all be identified and form a comprehensive shopping list.

The shopping list provides you with all the supplier information, material details, sizes, and cost information. This invaluable list gives you all the information you’ll need to order everything for your project.

STEP SIX

The final material selections for flooring, paint colours, furniture fabrics, soft furnishing fabrics, anything used in your room design, will be displayed on a Material board. Similarly to the Shopping list all of the material selections will have supplier information, material details, sizes and cost information.

STEP SEVEN

Once the room design is complete, we’ll arrange a suitable day/time for me to pop over to your home to present the final design. I’ll talk you through my ideas and together we can discuss the design in detail, I can answer any questions you may have and we can make any small tweaks to the design if needed. After this meeting I’ll email over a copy of the design that was presented to you, giving you a chance to review the design at your leisure, and come back with any last-minute tweaks that come to mind.

STEP EIGHT

After our meeting I will update the room design to reflect any tweaks that were made. The completed design package will then be emailed to you along with the Invoice.

Once the projects complete don't worry I won't just disappear! You'll be able to get in touch with any queries you may have about the design and product suggestion's and I can answer any further questions that might crop up. If you need recommendations for Tradesmen, I can also help with this.
